i deleted the previous 1st Dec entry, which was basically a not very pleasant one-liner,'cos I think I shouldn't start off the new month on such a note right?

(it's thurs, 3rd Dec now but Im gonna backdate this entry and title it 1st Dec...for the purposes of being able to declare, with added significance, stuff like.."OH LORD, it's december already, HOW TIME FLIES!")

so here goes.

It's December already! How time flies, scary innit? No really, cliches aside, it's really really crazy. I can't believe it's been a year since we had our O's, and the scary thing is, our A's are already drawing nearer.

Someone once told me that the older we get, the faster time will seem to pass. Meaning next year will be shorter than this year seemed, and the year after will be shorter than next year seems. Before I know it, I'll be 163 years old and counting! But, first things first, I'm gonna turn seventeen in 24 days (22, actually, but whatever ;D )

So right, I'm leaving for Hanoi on the 8th. then on the 11th we'll be flying from to Seoul, and then on the 18th we'll be flying to Ho Chi Minh and then we'll leave and return on the 19th!! I'm damn excited to be travelling with the others. Methinks it's gonna be really fun rooming with Shak shak! And I'm looking forward to teasing Roxanne when she finds out that she has to pay for her excess baggage! (: I bet she's gonna bring like, ten luggages!

So it seems many people are leaving the country too...it's gonna suck for those people who wanna jio others out to gaigai! HYAKHYAK!
but aiya, most of the girls are flying off during my birthday period. AGAIN. it's like, the third year running already! Josie's going to Japan, I'm so jealous! I love Japan ): Eat more maguro for me, Jos. (:

Ok, no more slacking at work HEEHEE. (i did nothing today. NOTHING! HAHAHA.)

yesterday was a saturday well-spent with the girls
too bad huiting couldn't make it and hansi had to leave early
otherwise, it was a pretty good day but oh man too much walking...jos and limin were tireless yesterday and the rest of us had to be dragged along so as to pander to their desire to shop 'til their friends (us) drop.

we're planning a picnic in early december
it'll be one with us seating on a nice big mat, wearing voluminous floral or colourful dresses and getting phat.
I'm preparing fruit salad! you haven't tried no fruit salad if you haven't had the hung family's lor i swear.

he smells of deodorant and his long hair makes him look like a girl
but he says he'll have no hair soon (He's enlisting for NS), so he wants to keep his hair as unkempt as possible while he still has the chance. well, suit yourself

past two days of job shadowing at drew and napier was kinda interesting
but hopefully next week they'll give me more new things to do
at present, my mentor Melissa explains her cases to me, and has taught me about procedures involving filing lawsuits and stuff, and i even got to help her prepare a document and also do research. but unfortunately i've also got to print three years worth of emails to be used as affadavits in court. i swear this profession kills too many trees with all the paper they use in printing! i'm only half way through!

next week i shall bring my camera and snap more piccies! we all think melissa is like one of the prettiest/cutest in the firm! seriously she's damn cute, how often do you see a lawyer wearing a huge hairband with a sparkly ribbon in her hair!

Anyway, by some stroke of coincidence, huiping and i got posted to the same firm AND same department (litigation) but too bad we;re on different floors. yesterday we played pool for an hour (HAHAH SLACKING) in the lounge and got scolded for making too much noise ):
OHOH, and also, i got to eat a slice of chocolate cake from fullerton which was HEAVENLY. it's a gift from the client of one of the lawyers in the team.

machiam holiday not attachment. oh, and the drinks in the vending machine in drew is all at half price. like one can of 100plus costs 50cents! :D

(and if you're wondering people. courtroom drama is pretty non-existent. tv producers have been lying to us. for years. )

in any case, i'm updating regularly for my own sake
i think i updated hell regularly this year man!

Was looking at old pictures, and this kinda 'inspired' (for lack of better word) me to do a post containing a list of random things, together with their photos, which i miss. but then i realise that i don't have photos for the MANY things i miss, so it'll just be a list. I figured that besides my primary/secondary/JC friends, there are actually many many things which i miss..so here goes...


things I miss

1. walking to school, mere 15 minutes away.
when you've been walking to school since primary 4, and then you have to contend with suddenly taking 50 minute bus rides, you're bound to miss walks to school.

2. knowing that you can afford to wake up as late as 7, but still be able to make it to school on time. (though you may, in reality, not do so. but the feeling that you CAN if you want to is pretty kewl.)

3. walking to and back from school in the company of someone you like

4. lunches at coffeeshop outside school/across the road from the side which school is on/prata shop which is now non-existent/ hougang point etc

5. air-conditioned classroom. godsend on warm afternoons where you have to stay back in school for extra lessons

6. walking really really fast to the canteen as soon as bell goes so that you can beat the queue, AND chope seats at the ridiculously cramped canteen

7. popcorn chicken from malay stall

8. lo mai kai from snacks stall

9. classroom with full-length mirrors (used to be dance room) to pander to vanity, AND curtains behind which you can hide to change after PE

10. mr ang's squeaky voice when attempting to do crowd-control during monday assemblies in the hall

11. mr lee's funny one-liners "heaven do, for God to do, everything blame others!" (GET THE PUN? Haven't do. ForGOT to do!)

12. mr rodrigues showing off his latest gadgets ("i bought this last week. it's a laser pointer AND i can click on this button during ppt presentations blah blah")

13. taking the lift down after stair-climbing about 17 storeys for PT

14. the collective groan when mr singh declares with an evil chuckle that there will be an attire check, student leaders please assist teachers blah blah blah

15. botak people after hair check

16. belaying (or watching others belay) a climber and threatening not to let the climber down unless he/she reveals a deep dark secret or whatever

17. testing our prowess at outdoor cooking...pasta, maggie mee, rice, fried egg, sardines lai lai lai!

18. jump shots (can't seem to jump as high as before)

19. expeditions...trans-island, simpang, kota tinggi, kinabalu, tioman...and all the nonsense we do along the way

20. attempting to pitch tent as fast as possible

21. powder baths

22. thursday morning kick-boxing!!!!! OMG FUN SIA

23. collective irritation when mr ho threatens to hold us all back from recess if we do not learn the aces day dances to a decent standard

24. mass train/snake thingy around the entire hall, up the stage, in the darkness during teachers' day (or was it national day?)

25. lead-up to homecoming day...banner painting, making publicity posters and flyers, trying out our food (that said, i really HATE selling coupons man)

26. having fun @ homecoming...i remember the dunking machine thing, and the jousting and the lousy haunted houses which people go anyway just for laughs, and of course the food!

27. counting coupons after homecoming and cheering at the amount of money raised!

28. KBOX HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH OMG IT'S BEEN DAMN LONG

29. tuition @ teacher serene's!!!!!

30. sleeping in class without getting caught by mrs long HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA wow, that was sec 1!!

31. rocking the already creaking swings

32. lit class of only 26 people having lessons at conference room, where we'll slide like crazy on the roller chairs

33. getting annoyed @ the anal librarian

34. music lessons in sec 1 and 2 where we will compose music or something

35. fooling around during IT lessons in sec 1 and 2..gosh, i can't remember a thing from Flash lessons man!

36. OMG TOUCH-TYPING LESSONS IN PRIMARY TWO. wow, i can't believe i actually remember this...last time, there was this game which we played where we had to type the words on the screen as quickly as possible, before the dinosaur or whatever eats us up. cool shitz!

it's cool though, a simple exercise to make me smile like some idiot HAHAHA
